Artifacts
Appearance
Artifacts are humming idols pulled from the deepest caves — one for each biome. They serve as Arena keys: to challenge a biome's guardian in an Alpha Arena rematch, you must spend that biome's artifact as tribute. There are ten artifacts, one per biome.
How to obtain artifacts
[edit | edit source]- Artifacts drop only from cave delves — a small chance (about 1.5%) on each winning delve of that biome's cave.
- Because they are cave-only, farming artifacts means repeatedly clearing the cave of the biome you need.
- Artifacts are sellable for Amber, but since they are also your Arena keys, selling them is a choice with a cost.
How artifacts are used
[edit | edit source]Each Alpha Arena rematch is fought at that guardian's own biome and consumes the matching artifact:
- A standard arena attempt spends one artifact.
- An Alpha-tier attempt spends two.
You therefore need a steady supply of a biome's artifact to keep challenging its Arenas — and the Arenas are where the endgame Primal set is won.
