Treasure
Treasure is the game's term for sell-only items — things with a vendor value but no other use. A treasure item can't be eaten, equipped, brewed, or spent in any recipe, contract, or building; its only purpose is to be sold for Amber. Their Bank cards now say so plainly, so you never hold onto one wondering what it's for.
How treasure is decided
[edit | edit source]Treasure is not a hand-picked list — the game derives it. An item counts as treasure when it has a sell value but is used by nothing: it heals nothing, equips nowhere, isn't a potion, salve, dino gear or blueprint sheet, and appears in no action, recipe, building bill, museum donation, seed pairing, or quest step. Whatever's left over — boss trophies, biome relics, loose gems, one-off oddities — is treasure. A handful of items are deliberately held back from the list even though they look sell-only (Riftglass, Primal Catalyst, Golden Fang Banner and the Amberglass Menagerie), because they're reserved for future use.
The treasure items
[edit | edit source]There are 34 treasure items. Most are trophies and relics from the hardest content in the valley:

Because the list is derived, an item can leave treasure the moment the game gives it a use — so a "sell-only" tag is always current, never stale.
