The Shop (the Amber Exchange) is where you spend Amber on permanent upgrades and catch-up supplies. Upgrades are the main draw: each has a number of ranks, and every rank costs more than the last. Supplies are always-available consumables and materials priced so that buying them is never cheaper than making them yourself — the shop is a convenience and a safety net, not an optimal source.

Upgrades

Most upgrades are bought with Amber over several ranks, with the cost climbing each rank. Each rank's cost is the base cost × a growth factor compounded per rank, so the price roughly doubles-or-more every step. The Cost per rank column below lists the exact Amber price of each rank in order; Total is what buying every rank costs.

Upgrade Effect per rank Ranks Cost per rank (Amber) Total (Amber)
Reinforced Vault +2 Bank slots 8 500 · 1,000 · 2,000 · 4,000 · 8,000 · 16,000 · 32,000 · 64,000 127,500
Extra Stall +1 stable stall 5 2,000 · 5,000 · 12,500 · 31,250 · 78,125 128,875
Offline Satchel +1 hour of offline progress (18h base, 24h max) 6 5,000 · 9,000 · 16,200 · 29,160 · 52,488 · 94,478 206,326
Sharpened Tools +2% Foraging, Logging, Mining and Fishing speed 5 3,000 · 6,000 · 12,000 · 24,000 · 48,000 93,000
Sturdy Bandages −10% injury recovery time 3 4,000 · 8,000 · 16,000 28,000
Expedition Ledger +1 Dispatch mission slot (1 base, 3 max) 2 400 · 1,200 1,600
Trader's Charter Rank 1 opens the Trading Post; each rank +25% daily stock and demand 4 2,500 · 7,500 · 22,500 · 67,500 100,000
Stasis Vault Encase +2 dinos outside the stable — upkeep and injuries freeze until release 3 5,000 · 12,500 · 31,250 48,750
Foreman's Whistle +1 hired-hand background task slot per rank (first slot at Taming 25) 2 8,000 · 24,000 32,000

The Offline Satchel raises how long progress accumulates while you are away, from an 18-hour base up to a 24-hour cap. The Trader's Charter both unlocks the Trading Post and increases how much it stocks and demands each market day. The Stasis Vault lets you park extra Creatures in preserving amber, freezing their upkeep and any injuries until you release them.

Mark-priced upgrade

The Field Ledger (+1 Dispatch mission slot, single rank) is not bought with Amber — it is priced in Fang Marks at the Mark Exchange and does not appear on the Amber Shop page. See Contracts for how Fang Marks are earned.

Supplies

Supplies are always in stock and can be bought repeatedly. Their price scales with the quantity per purchase, and always sits above their sell value so the sell-then-buy loop can never turn a profit.

  • Berry Skewer (1)
  • Roasted Meat (1)
  • Fern Poultice (1)
  • Calming Tonic (1)
  • Tranq Brew (1)
  • Crimson Berry (10)
  • Raw Meat (10)
  • Gourd Seed (1) — starter Farming seed
  • Sunroot Seed (1) — starter Farming seed
  • Marshmelon Seed (1) — starter Farming seed

Rarities

The shop also lists occasional one-off showcase purchases (such as the Ancient Amber Pendant). These are hidden from the shop once you have owned one.

  • Amber — the shop's main currency
  • Trading Post — unlocked by the Trader's Charter
  • Dispatch — extra mission slots from the Expedition Ledger and Field Ledger
  • Bank — extra slots from the Reinforced Vault
