The Shop (the Amber Exchange) is where you spend Amber on permanent upgrades and catch-up supplies. Upgrades are the main draw: each has a number of ranks, and every rank costs more than the last. Supplies are always-available consumables and materials priced so that buying them is never cheaper than making them yourself — the shop is a convenience and a safety net, not an optimal source.
Upgrades
[edit | edit source]Every upgrade is bought with Amber over several ranks, each rank costing more than the last. The table lists what each does, its rank cap, the total to fully max it, and every rank's price in order — except the two 100-rank ladders (Reinforced Vault, Extra Stall), whose long flat climb is compressed to "then X climbing +Y a rank to Z" rather than spelling out all 91 ranks.
| Upgrade | Effect per rank | Max ranks | Total ( Amber) | Cost by rank ( Amber) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reinforced Vault | +3 Bank slots | 100 | 32,560,500 | 500, 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000, 16,000, 32,000, 64,000, 128,000, then 130,000 climbing +5,000 a rank to 580,000 |
| Extra Stall | +3 stable stalls | 100 | 68,817,000 | 2,000, 4,000, 8,000, 16,000, 32,000, 64,000, 128,000, 256,000, 512,000, then 520,000 climbing +5,000 a rank to 970,000 |
| Offline Satchel | +1 hour of offline progress (18h base, 24h max) | 6 | 315,000 | 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 80,000, 160,000 |
| Sharpened Tools | +2% Foraging, Logging, Mining and Fishing speed | 5 | 93,000 | 3,000, 6,000, 12,000, 24,000, 48,000 |
| Sturdy Bandages | -10% injury recovery time | 3 | 28,000 | 4,000, 8,000, 16,000 |
| Expedition Ledger | +1 Dispatch mission slot (1 base, 3 max) | 2 | 8,000 | 2,000, 6,000 |
| Trader's Charter | Rank 1 opens the Trading Post; each rank +25% daily stock and demand | 4 | 100,000 | 2,500, 7,500, 22,500, 67,500 |
| Stasis Vault | Encase +2 dinos outside the stable - upkeep and injuries freeze until release | 5 | 644,375 | 10,000, 25,000, 62,500, 156,250, 390,625 |
| Foreman's Whistle | +1 hired-hand background task slot (first slot at Taming 25) | 2 | 240,000 | 60,000, 180,000 |
| Iron Stomach | +5% auto-eat threshold, +10% auto-eat heal-to target | 5 | 631,704 | 15,000, 33,000, 72,600, 159,720, 351,384 |
| Assay Bench | +10% rare-material find rate (unlocks after finding a rare material) | 3 | 195,000 | 20,000, 50,000, 125,000 |
| Bounty Stipend | +1 Contract Board slot (unlocks at Hunting 40) | 1 | 60,000 | 60,000 |
The Reinforced Vault runs its first nine ranks on a doubling curve, then every rank from 10 to its cap of 100 climbs steadily (130,000 Amber at rank 10, +5,000 each rank, to 580,000 at rank 100) - +300 Bank slots in all. The Extra Stall follows the same shape to rank 100 and gives +3 stalls a rank. The Offline Satchel raises how long progress accumulates while you're away, from 18 hours up to a 24-hour cap. The Trader's Charter both unlocks the Trading Post and grows how much it stocks and demands. The Stasis Vault parks extra Creatures in preserving amber, freezing upkeep and injuries until release. The Iron Stomach raises both auto-eat dials above their free 50% baseline — eating sooner and healing to a higher target — so you spend less of the fight under the Wounded line where guard counts for half. The Assay Bench improves rare-material find rates once you've found your first rare material, and the Bounty Stipend adds a permanent Contract Board slot.
Mark-priced upgrade
[edit | edit source]The Field Ledger (+1 Dispatch mission slot, single rank, 60 Fang Marks) is not bought with Amber — it is priced in Fang Marks at the Mark Exchange and does not appear on the Amber Shop page. See Contracts for how Fang Marks are earned.
Seal-priced upgrades
[edit | edit source]Three more upgrades are bought with Curator's Seals at the Museum instead of Amber: the Museum Annex (+4 Bank slots a rank, 6 ranks), the Warden's Stasis Wing (+2 Amber Stasis berths a rank, 4 ranks), and the Deep Survey Team (+1 excavation slot, single rank). Like the Field Ledger, they don't appear on this page's table — see the Museum's Curator's Survey shelf for costs.
The Exotic Broker
[edit | edit source]Once your total skill level reaches 600 — or you win any Alpha-tier arena fight — the shop unlocks a second tier, the Exotic Broker. It sells the game's deepest bank storage (the Master Vault, +6 slots per rank over 49 ranks) plus late-game economy boosts for the Trading Post, Contract Board, and Villagers. See Exotic Broker for the full list.
Supplies
[edit | edit source]Supplies are always in stock and can be bought repeatedly. Their price scales with the quantity per purchase, and always sits above their sell value so the sell-then-buy loop can never turn a profit.

Rarities
[edit | edit source]The shop also lists two one-off showcase purchases, priced at the usual 4× sell-value markup. Each is hidden from the shop once you've ever owned one:
- Ancient Amber Pendant — 25,000 Amber. Not just a curiosity: it's a wearable trinket (+5 attack, +5 defense).
- Amberglass Menagerie — 100,000 Amber. Purely cosmetic, with no combat or skill effect.
