Dispatch sends idle tamed Creatures from your stable on timed auto-missions. You assign a squad, the mission runs on a real-time countdown (progressing offline), and on completion the squad returns with loot. Dispatch is a hands-off way to put stabled dinos to work while you focus on other skills.

How it works

[edit | edit source]
  • You start with 1 mission slot. More slots come from the Expedition Ledger Shop upgrade (up to 3) and the Field Ledger from the Mark Exchange (see Contracts).
  • Each mission has a difficulty rating on the same scale as expeditions. Your assigned squad's combined strength is compared against it — a squad of three geared mid-game dinos (around score 90) is comfortable through Night Patrol and a coin-flip on Deep Scout.
  • Your Homestead Watchtower adds expedition strength, improving mission odds.
  • Missions run for a fixed duration, then pay out loot. A successful mission returns roughly what a single hired hand would gather over the same time, so a dispatch is genuinely worth the dinos you send. Some loot items are guaranteed; others have a drop chance.
  • Stronger squads haul more — loot scales with your squad's power against the mission's difficulty, up to ×2. The picker shows this haul multiplier next to the success chance, so veterans (see veteran levels) and geared dinos pay off.
  • Frontier find — every mission also carries a shot at an item from beyond your current gathering level (its own column below). Dispatch is often the earliest way to see the next tier's materials.
  • Failure never zeroes a run — a failed mission still brings home half the guaranteed haul, so a dispatch is never a total loss. The rare rolls (the frontier find and other chance drops) are lost in the retreat, and the squad report shows exactly what got away.
  • Squad-returned reports — when a squad comes back it files a report here listing the mission, its outcome, and exactly what it brought home. Reports persist (even across reloads) until you dismiss them, so a mission that finished while you were away is never missed.
  • Missions now train your dinos (v0.36.9) — every squad member earns veteran XP for the run (half on a failed mission), and the mission also feeds your Taming skill. Dispatch is no longer just for loot.

Missions

[edit | edit source]

Loot figures are for a successful mission at the base ×1 haul; a stronger squad scales the guaranteed rows up to ×2 (see above).

Mission Biome Duration Difficulty Guaranteed / bonus loot Frontier find
Berry Run Grasslands 30 min 15 Crimson Berry ×150; Wild Seeds ×6 (50%) Azure Berry ×10 (35%)
Scavenge the Plains Grasslands 1 h 35 Raw Meat ×90; Hide ×60; Bone ×30 (60%) Salt ×8 (35%)
Timber Haul Redwood Wilds 1 h 30 min 55 Ginkgo Log ×300; Amber Resin ×3 (40%); Heartwood Core (15%) Redwood Log ×12 (50%)
Night Patrol Murkwater Swamp 2 h 90 Raw Meat ×140; Hide ×90; Amber Resin ×5 (40%) Mangrove Log ×25 (40%)
Ore Sortie Scorched Badlands 3 h 130 Iron Ore ×300; Coal ×220; Starmetal Ore (15%) Silver Ore ×12 (40%)
Deep Scout Cavern Depths 4 h 190 Glow Moss ×450; Deep Sapphire ×2 (25%); Gloomglass Shard (15%) Echo Shard ×12 (50%)
Frost Trek Frozen Wastes 6 h 260 Frostpine Log ×500; Ember Topaz ×2 (20%) Obsidian ×40 (50%)
Sky Survey Skyreach Plateau 8 h 340 Sky Grain ×600; Sky Opal ×2 (20%) Moonstone ×25 (60%)
Reef Sweep Coral Shallows 5 h 430 Coelacanth ×500; Deep Sapphire ×2 (30%) Sky Opal ×2 (20%)
Cinder March Ashen Peaks 7 h 520 Obsidian ×400; Crystal ×60; Ember Topaz ×2 (25%);Starmetal Ore ×1 (20%) Moonstone ×6 (25%)
Vale Vigil Sundered Vale 10 h 650 Moonstone ×480;Vale Relic ×1 (25%);Primal Catalyst ×1 (25%) Heartstone ×2 (25%)

These three late missions were added in v0.36.9 for endgame squads. Vale Vigil is the only repeatable source of the Primal Catalyst breeding crate outside the Mark Exchange.

Percentages show the drop chance for that item; items without a percentage are guaranteed. The frontier find is an above-tier material you likely can't gather yourself yet — on a failed run it's lost in the retreat.
