Sets are themed six-piece Equipment collections that drop only from Expeditions. Unlike crafted gear, set pieces can never be crafted or bought — you earn them by running biome patrols, caves and guardians. Wearing all six pieces of a set grants an extra set bonus on top of the individual pieces' stats.

There are ten biome sets — one for each biome — plus the boss-only Riftforged set from the Rifts and the endgame Primal set won in the Alpha Arenas.

How sets work

[edit | edit source]
  • Each set has six pieces, one for every Equipment slot: a Spear (weapon), Helm (head), Cuirass (chest), Greaves (legs), Aegis (shield) and Talisman (trinket).
  • Individual pieces give the usual attack or defense for their slot, exactly like other gear.
  • Equipping all six pieces of the same set adds a flat expedition-score bonus — a boost to how well you perform on Expeditions in addition to the raw stats.
  • Sets scale with the biome ladder: each biome's set is roughly tuned so that the full set (with its bonus) carries you into the next biome's patrols.
  • Duplicate pieces are not wasted — extras vendor for Amber.

How to obtain set pieces

[edit | edit source]

Every biome set drops only from that biome's own Expedition content, at rising chances:

  • Patrols — a small chance per piece on each patrol win.
  • Caves — a better chance per winning delve.
  • Guardian — the best chance, on the biome's guardian.

Because pieces are biome-locked, completing a set means farming the Expeditions of that specific biome.

The ten biome sets

[edit | edit source]

Sets are listed in biome-ladder order. "Weapon Atk" is the Spear's attack; "Armour Def" is the defense on each of the Helm, Cuirass, Greaves and Aegis; the Talisman gives the listed attack and defense; "Set Bonus" applies when all six are worn.

Set Biome Weapon Atk Armour Def (each) Talisman Atk/Def Set Bonus
Thunderfoot Grasslands 10 8 2 / 4 3
Wildwarden Redwood Wilds 14 12 2 / 5 5
Murkscale Murkwater Swamp 20 16 3 / 6 7
Hollowcrown Cavern Depths 24 20 4 / 6 4
Cinderplate Scorched Badlands 32 26 5 / 8 5
Tideglass Coral Shallows 38 31 6 / 10 6
Rimehide Frozen Wastes 40 33 6 / 11 7
Ashforged Ashen Peaks 55 46 9 / 13 9
Skyborne Skyreach Plateau 64 53 10 / 16 10
Sundered Sundered Vale 72 59 11 / 17 11

The Riftforged set

[edit | edit source]

The Riftforged set bridges the gap between the Sundered set and the Primal set. Unlike the biome sets, it does not drop from patrols, caves or guardians — its six pieces come only from the rift bosses, at designated slots, 5% per piece per boss win:

  • Rift Warden → Visor (head) and shield
  • Twin Sovereigns → Plate (chest) and legs
  • Riftheart Colossus → Cleaver (weapon) and Idol (trinket)
  • Weapon: 85 attack (Riftforged Cleaver)
  • Armour (each of head, chest, legs, shield): 68 defense
  • Trinket (Riftforged Idol): 13 attack / 20 defense
  • Full-set bonus: +20 expedition score
  • Duplicate pieces vendor for 780 Amber each.

The Primal set

[edit | edit source]

The Primal set is the single strongest gear in the game, sitting above every biome set. Its six pieces — the Primal Warspear, Visage, Carapace, Striders, Bulwark and Idol — drop only from Alpha Arena wins, at chances that rise with the arena tier. Nothing above it exists.

  • Weapon: 101 attack (Primal Warspear)
  • Armour (each of head, chest, legs, shield): 83 defense
  • Trinket (Primal Idol): 15 attack / 24 defense
  • Full-set bonus: +30 expedition score
