== v0.43.7 — Obsidian Greaves — The Smithed Ladder Finally Has Legs At The Top == * OBSIDIAN GREAVES CAN NOW BE FORGED (player request). The smithed heavy line runs bronze, then iron, then obsidian — and bronze and iron both finish with greaves, while obsidian gave you a helm, a plate, a bulwark, a spear and a blade and nothing at all for your legs. So the best legs a smith could make were still Iron Greaves, ninety levels in. Not any more. * FORGE THEM AT SMITHING 91 IN THE ASHEN PEAKS, from 3 Obsidian, a Skysteel Ore and a Valehide. They give 14 defense — above the Obsidian Helm and Bulwark, below the Plate, which stays the tier's best single piece as the hardest thing in it to make. * '''And skysteel ore finally has something to be made into.''' Until now the only thing in the valley that wanted it was the last rank of the tool ladder, so a plateau full of it mostly went to the trader. Now it is the frame these greaves are built on. * Nothing else moved. No existing piece was retuned, no recipe changed, and the Collector achievement now counts the one new item.
