== v0.55.18 — Excavations Reach The Contract Board == * Digs were invisible to the bounty board. The whole fossil chain — maps, crates, skulls, the Museum — sat outside the Fang Mark economy that every other activity in the valley feeds. Delving had ONE contract in thirty-three, and the board had no way to even see an excavation. * Two new writs. The Excavation Writ wants six digs dug out; the Deep Survey Writ wants twelve. Both are gated on Delving, so they never deal to someone with no maps and one slot, and both are sized to the 12-hour rotation rather than to a cave's tempo — twelve is 38% of what four slots can dig on the slowest ground in the game, which leaves room for the manual collect every find needs. * THEY COUNT WHEN YOU DIG THE FIND OUT, not when the timer ends. A dig that finished while you were away is parked in its slot and has not counted yet — the same line the Excavator track and the toast have always drawn. * And two bounties were gated on the wrong skill entirely. The Delver's Writ has been gated on EXPEDITIONS since v0.25: it dealt to players who had never lit a torch, and withheld itself from delvers whose Expeditions lagged. The Harvest Writ was gated on Taming, copied from the Tamer's Writ beneath it. Both now gate on the skill they actually ask for, and a new rule ties every bounty's gate to its subject so a third one cannot happen quietly.
