== v0.38.8 — The Folk Next Door Get Their Portraits == * Maru, Tilda and Bren have faces. The three [[Homestead]] villager cards were still wearing emoji — a stew bowl, a sprig and a cardboard box — so the neighbours who have been feeding you since your first thatch hut now have drawn portraits, and they look like they actually live in the valley: Maru with her hair pinned up by a bone and a stone bowl still steaming, Tilda in a leaf circlet with a basket of cuttings, Bren grey-maned under a hide headband with a lashed crate on his shoulder. They are drawn on the same silhouette as the tribe camp busts, so your homestead and your camp read as one cast — and like every other human in the game they each get their own skin tone, not one shared face.
