* '''The desktop window closes again.''' First contact with real hardware caught an embarrassing one: the new careful-goodbye close saved everything perfectly and was then denied permission to actually close the window — clicking X did nothing and the app had to be force-quit. The window now holds that permission, and if closing ever fails for any other reason, the next click retries the goodbye instead of being silently ignored.
* '''Choosing a save sticks on desktop now.''' Picking "Use the cloud save" (or restoring a backup, or importing a save) reloaded the game before the choice had finished writing to disk — so the "Two saves found" question came straight back, every single time. Every reload now waits for the disk write to land first. The web version always wrote instantly and never had this.
* The save server also accepts the desktop app under the anonymous origin some webviews report — closing off a way cloud sign-in could have failed on other machines.
* Desktop validation builds temporarily include the developer console (right-click → Inspect) so problems on real machines can be seen instead of guessed at. It goes away before public release.
